We make wedding rings in Berlin - handmade, personal, made to order for each couple.

Verna - a handmade pair of wedding bands
Verna is a pair of handmade wedding rings, one for him and one for her. The men's band is 4 mm wide; the women's band is more delicate, at 2 mm. I texture them on stone and press the surface directly into the metal. We keep samples in the studio - but every pair we make is personal, always made to order. Once the wax models are finished in our Berlin studio, they go to my casting partner in Pforzheim. All our production stays in Germany - we prepare the wax model in Berlin, cast it in Pforzheim, then the ring comes back to the studio for the final finishing.
Materials & price range
Verna is available in 8, 14 and 18 karat gold - and the choice affects both the look and the price.
8 karat is a great option if you want a beautiful design in a durable material at a more accessible price point. It holds texture well and wears extremely well over time.
14 karat is the classic choice - the standard alloy for wedding rings in Germany. A balanced mix of gold and strength, and the most popular option in our studio.
18 karat has the richest, warmest gold colour of the three - 75% pure gold, with a deeper tone and a more precious feel. It's also the best option for sensitive skin.
The gold we work with is Fairtrade-certified - it comes from small-scale mines that guarantee fair pay and safe working conditions for the miners who extract it. We also work in white gold, rose and red gold, and platinum. Platinum requires even more care, it's a demanding metal to work with. But I'm glad I can offer it.

The finish
The rings are semi-matte - and that's intentional. The lower layers and dents stay matte, while I polish the upper surface of the ring. That's what gives the texture its depth. We can always adjust the finish though: if it feels too shiny we can make it more matte, or the other way around.
A personal fit
The most important thing to me is the personal approach when it comes to wedding rings. Sometimes with clients we realise the standard dimensions don't quite fit. Then I adjust the rings specifically for them - thicker or thinner, more matte or more polished. It takes a little more time. But I'm always glad when we manage to create something that exists only for this couple.

FAQ
How do I find my correct ring size?
Come to our studio or visit a jewellery shop - we'll measure your finger properly. We recommend against home methods: ring sizing needs to be precise, especially for a ring you'll wear every day.
How long does it take to make the rings?
We prepare the rings within two weeks. If you'd like a special adjustment - a different width or thickness - it takes three weeks. That said, if it's a last-minute decision, just let us know your wedding date and we'll make it work.
Can I see the rings before ordering?
Yes - we keep samples of the Verna rings in our studio. Come by, try them on, and get a feel for the size, weight and finish before you decide anything.
